2019 State Awards Nominations are now open.
Showcasing the commitment and impact of Victoria’s volunteering programs, leaders of volunteers and volunteer involving organisations.Volunteering is diverse and pervades all ways of life. This is reflected in the official Australian definition of volunteering: Volunteering is time willingly given for the common good and without financial gain’.
The Volunteering Victoria State Awards aim to embrace and showcase the work of Volunteer Involving Organisations, their partnerships and programs. The Awards were launched in 2015 and 2019 is their fifth year.
The Awards were developed in consultation with the volunteering sector, in response to the need for inclusive awards that reflect the ways volunteering is evolving.
Traditional ideas about volunteering continue to be challenged daily as leaders of volunteers strive to meet the diverse motivations of their volunteers whilst achieving their organisation’s objectives.
Whilst numerous events exist to recognise the outstanding achievements of individual volunteers, the Volunteering Victoria State Awards aim to showcase the extraordinary infrastructure in our state that makes volunteering possible.
The Volunteering Victoria State Awards will be held in the stunning surrounds of Parliament House on 28 November 2018.
